Vrs clicking after short blast

Featured Replies

Hi all had my skoda just under a week. Just been out for a short blast and put my foot down a few times. When I got home got out but left the engine to cool down for a couple of min and there was a clicking for the engine. After a min or so it stopped. Then after another min started again

Sounded like a loud injector noise

Will try and get a short video if it does it again.

Any ideas anyone???????

Evap can? It sends fumes from the fuel tank into the engine for burning as emissions control. It is known for clicking, if it's clicking it's working. It's a black canister just below the coolant header tank. On top you'll see a hose going over to the throttle body. When you hear the clicking put your thumb on top of it, see if you can feel the rhythm.

Also, our cars aren't known for quiet injectors. I hate listening to mine ticking over, doesn't sound particularly nice but when it's running well its sweet. And still sounds like a bag of busted spanners under the bonnet.

Thanks it was the Evap can thanks for that

No worries, it is a disconcerting noise but nothing to worry much about, my Toledo V5 ticked like a bomb as well.
