Rear seat back warning light

Featured Replies

The rear seat back warning light has started flickering on and off and sometimes stays on for a few seconds.

I've checked both seat backs are securely closed and opened them and firmly closed them again just to be sure and the warning light still flickers when driving.

Are there any common things to check please? Could it be a loose wire/connection somewhere? The light seems to flicker in time with going over poor road surfaces/pot holes.

Cheers

pull them forward give them a good slam should sort it

Thanks I slammed them earlier and it didn't make it any better.

Will have a closer look tomorrow and see if I can gather how the switch works and try to bypass it.

I'm actually not that bothered about the silly light because I know the seat back is safely secured. But I understand changes in mot regs mean any warning light on the dash results in failure, so will have to look at sorting this.

Cheers

There are small rubber adjusters you can screw in/out to align seat back rests, try screwing them in slightly if the switch is ok :)

Switch is behind the catch on the drivers side(double)backrest.
