Fabia 1  petrol 1.2L  AZQ engine.

My EGR has an intermittent fault, which may be causing the car to momentarily lose power at approx. 50mph and miss.  Fault appears on VCDS-lite as EGR intermittent.

 

Four Questions:

1  How do I test and clean the EGR?

2 Can I blank off the EGR?

3 How do I blank it off, and do I need to rest anything in the ECU?

4 What are the consequences of blanking it off?
