Fmic install

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just bought a fmic off a pd160 Ibiza complete with all the brackets and pipe work, is there anything I need to be aware of before fitting? Ie any issues? Thanks

You'll have to do a fair amount of hacking to the front panel to get the brackets and cooler on. Other than that I'm presuming the pipework should fit ok.

The Skoda crash bar will also need a big chunk taking out of it. Although people tend to use the Ibiza crash bar which needs the ends chopping off and a lot less otherwise taking off.

Yes try and get the ibiza crash bar

Im assuming you have the standard pd160 pipework. Theres no way you can get the top pipe to fit (plastic oem) without a complete restructure of the fabia crash bar.

Mine needed cut up and welded support on the drivers side for it to fit

Don't know for sure but maybe the driver's side headlight washer will get in the way if you have factory Xenons.

There is an Ibiza crash bar in the for sale section at the moment.
