Octavia facelift.

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I currently have a 58" plate Octavia Estate 4x4 with the old headlights and we are wanting to do a facelift convert.

Has anyone ever attempted this? We are just wondering how difficult it would be and what parts we would need.

I wouldnt bother personally, is probably more cost effective to trade the car for a FL 4x4 TBH if you really want the FL look.

I prefer the pre FL tbh. But if you were to facelift then you need the front bumper, both wings both headlights, front grill and possibly the slam panel (behind the bumper) don't know about the slam panel to be honest so you might get away without needing it. The bonnets are the same

The facelift has benefits beyond the look of the front. I personally prefer the pre fl front (I would as I own one) but if I wanted the fl look I would also want the fl upgrades By the time you have done the swap you likely could have sold up and got one. As Mike says, anything spent on the swap would be dead money and may even end up losing you money on the value of the original car. I understand however cars are more than money to some people, I have spent beyond the real world value of my car too. If you really want to do it then go for it and post a few pics.
