Stereo head unit problems, anyone had this before?

Featured Replies

So I was driving yesterday morning, had a CD in playing pretty loud then all of a sudden the head unit turns off completely, starts back up displaying 'SAFE', then a few seconds later 'LEARN', then wouldn't come back on for about 5 mins, came back on, played my CD for a little longer and it did it again!?

Properly weird, anyone ever had this and know what it means?

Have you taken unit out to check the memory connection is connected ok still.

Not on my head unit but previous car.if i went over a pothole the vibration would shut unit down for split second like boxer being K'O'd. Then would go through a sequence to restart itself.

I Had a similar thing happen to mine, however the whole unit wouldn't switch back on. I took the fuse out, put it back in again and it seemed to work fine since.
