Findings after hunter alignment

Featured Replies

Hi all . Recently I've fitted new wishbones , poly consoles , tie rods and ends , ball joints , top mounts (both parts) . And ap 25mm kit .. Went and had geometry checked yesterday, obviously was out, they adjusted the front toe , however when I was handed a printout, camber on passenger side was -1/2 degree and showing green on chart . But drivers side was -2 degrees ..

Now I know you cannot adjust camber .. Is there anything I can do to try to even it out ?? And if I do try to sort it . Will it throw the toe out again ??

Regards Tony ..

Also when u questioned the guy who did it . He said it ain't that bad ..

You'll get a little adjustment on it if you slacken the 3 13mm bolts on the bottom arm and move the hub inwards a ball hair that's all it takes.

Make the holes a little bit bigger, obviously safely and within reason.

I will take some measurements from top of wheel to the wing on passenger side and try to replicate it on drivers side . Do you think I should get tracking checked afterward ? Or will moving the ball joint be ok !

If you move the ball joint you will affect the toe setting again.

There are tolerances for bolting up the consoles to the subframe and the subframe to the car. Some adjustment is possible by slightly repositioning the components then re-tightening. If I had to guess, I'd say a little of the same can be done for the top mounts.

I think I will take it to a garage that is a tad more helpful .. It drives pretty good as it is but I guess I will be wearing the inside of the tyre on drivers side quickly ..
