Good afternoon. Wondering if anyone can help with wiring pin ours for the coolant temp sensor on a mk1 fabia vrs . I have tried 2 new genuine sensors . So believe it to be a broken wire .. I get code intermittent short to plus g62. I’m guessing the positive wire has a break … also should it be 5v signal ? thanks In advance tony

This is where I unplugged from . As a whole .. there’s a wire clip . You pull that all all the lines come off as one .

Thanks for reply . I unplugged the vac lines as a whole from the box . Car was turned off .. the fabia makes a hiss sound , like it had a build up of pressure and the Ibiza is silent .. only difference I notice with the Ibiza is turbo seems to come in later then the fabia . I wonder if this is connected

Thanks for the reply . So it should hiss when unplugging the vac lines .. so my next question is I’m guessing the Ibiza has a leak somewhere.. ! As no hiss

Good morning all , wonder if anyone may shed some light on this. I have a fab vrs and a Ibiza fr 130 . ( fabia feels better in every way ) my question is . If I release the vacuum pipes from n75 on the fabia I get a hiss ( like I’m releasing a build up of pressure ) if I do same on the Ibiza I get nothing .. both seem to drive ok . Although the Ibiza doesn’t feel as lively .. both stg1 too .. I’ve not investigated at all and I have no eml lights on .. I have no idea what that box actually does

Do you know if the front vertical bolt is accessible without removing the strut ?? I think there’s 4 bolts on console ? Then I’m guessing bottom ball joint and the bolt that goes through the wishbone . And 2 holding on antiroll bar ??
-
Hi all . Long story , I recently had a pair of console bushes replaced on my vrs . I gave the person doing it a new bolt . ( I only gave him 1 as the passenger side one has had a rethread at some point and is a different pitch ) . Ive recently lent the car to the mrs . And she has said it pulls right under braking and when on power . So I get under neath car to have a look . And too my surprise. The new bikt has been put into the wrong side . So I’m assuming he’s crossthreaded it into console .. I’m guessing the bold isn’t tight enough allowing the wishbone to move . So im planning on changing the whole console at home . Has anyone done this on the floor ?? And any pointers ?? Regards Tony

Is your fabia a diesel ? And Is the fixed pulley ok !!
-
I will do . They guy I brought it from says he run it on a vrs asz engine for past 8 months . Only broke fabia as cambelt snapped . What would the issue of having a fixed pulley be ?? As my Old mk2 golfs has fixed pulleys . Why does the fabia need a clutched one ? Regards Tony
-
It was cheap ... and the pulley definitely looks fixed . It’s hekd on by a normal hexagonal nut . Unlike the 33 splined ones ... certainly baffled me .

Evening all . I just brought a s/h alternator of eBay for my fabia vrs asz . The guy I brought it off said it was used on his asz for past 8 months no problem. But before I fit it . My concern is a fixed pulley version . Ie it hasn’t got a clutched pulley . will this be ok ? Regards Tony

do you find the ride better without poly bushes ...
-
Evening all my alternator started making an almighty racket on way home and battery light started flashing . Then it suddenly went quiet again . So I’m guessung it’s time to change . My question is will an alternator of another car fit ? Ie is all the pd130 alternators the same . Thabks
