Audi TT Wheel value query

Featured Replies

Greetings,

Looking for a bit of info from those who know better than me.

I'm picking up a stripped Audi TT rolling shell this week, which I've bought for all the front suspension and steering bits. It's still rolling on a set of genuine staggered (8Jx18 front and 8.5Jx18 rear) Audi TT Quattro sport alloys. I haven't seen them in the flesh yet but from what I can see in the pics there's a bit of kerb rash around the edges so could probably benefit from a refurb. I'm led to believe they're quite rare, being genuine and not reps, so my question is, how much would they be worth? Hoping to get most of money back you see :D

These are the wheels in question.

Rally stylee, forest setup :D

I'd say touch in the black bits and assuming tyres are good, probably ask around £400 minimum?

Well, that would mean I get all the TT front suspension and steering set up for free plus a few quid profit

Not bad then really.  Doesn't look to be anything else on the car, so just as well :D  Does it still have rear axle/diff? :D

It's pretty well stripped but it does have the complete front suspension set up along with the quick rack still on it which I want for the Octavia. All the rear suspension is still there so may be able to flog some of that too. Dunno what the shocks are like. No diff, he's got that listed seperately.

Probably money in the bonnet, door seals. bootlid and any random electrical gubbins.

As you know though, it looks like most of the value is tied up in the wheels.  Surprised previous owner didn't stick it on 14" steels or something.

The bonnet and bootlid are listed as being damaged so may just be good for scrap, not really fussed. I'm not surprised he left those wheels on, it's been hard enough trying to convince him that picking it up on a Thursday or Friday morning isn't practical due to employment :D
