What Is The Citigo Like In Winter

Featured Replies

Was just wondering because my old fabia was a nightmare for condensation and ice on the inside of the windscreen.

did you use the AC in the winter? That helps reduce condensation in the cabin. I always use a damp trap dehumidifier during winter months which helps a lot.

Yes the air con was on, I dreaded winter because of it.

If there was ice on the windscreen inside did that likely mean the temperature in the car was near 0*oC and the Ambient outside as well,

so there was no A/C available until the temperature got to above 4*oC.

Is a Citigo different from other models?

Lots of exposed metal in a Citigo,

Polish the paint, and the windows, remove wet mats and cloths at night, and treat the rubber door seals,

and dry the car as much as you can when warm. and use the A/C.

we had no issues in ours over the last few winters and the heated seats were lovely and toasty

also it has a quick heatup for the blowers as the water is piped round/through the exhaust manifold so we had hot air coming through the vents within the first mile

The heated seats in the fabia did come in handy while waiting for the car to defrost.

Mine was fine in winter, steamed up windows initially from start up soon clear as the heaters are excellent along with aircon on.

No problems here. Did your old Fabia have water leaks in the rear doors by any chance?

Citigo is excellent in winter:

And handles well too. ;-)

Yes Chris water did get into the back doors. I had the car nearly 8 years and the last for were the worse.

I find a 2kw fan heater on for 15 minutes in the morning in the winter cures all condensation problems first thing.

Air con, not fitted to my S.
