West Sussex detailer / valeter requried

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

So several weeks ago (just as I was about to travel with work for 2 weeks), the local council contractor come round and spray the carriageway and pavements with weedkiller and what ever else. They missed the pavement and sprayed the complete side of my Superb instead.. With weedkiller residue over the car and no time (or proper equipment to properly clean) I complained to the council.

The contractor has agreed that this wasn't acceptable and so has agreed to have the car professionally cleaned. My take on this is to have the exterior valeted properly to ensure it is completely removed.

Therefore can anyone make some suggestions please on any companies / people that could do this (legit with receipts so can claim it back from them) for the West Sussex area are greatly received.

Also what do you think I should be charged and should I be looking to have it clayed to ensure the residue is completely removed?

Thanks

I'll have a look round for options in your area..... none spring to mind.

Do you do any detailing work yourself on your car(s)?

You could perhaps claim from the council on the materials/time taken to clean the car in your time.

ie. some clay, fallout remover, AIO polish and such like - if nothing else, cover the cost on some purchases?

Or as you say - just go to the local detailer/valet company and get a full receipt.

Did they make any efforts to cap the cost on your claim?

Atlantic valeting are very good, Darren page is the owner a friend of mine used to work with him and he now details his cars. Check him out depending on where you're based.
