ABS problem

Featured Replies

I have a problem with the ABS on my Fabia.

The ABS and Traction lights are illuminated.

Diagnostic's stated Sensor, which I changed and same fault exists.

I have checked the Sensor and it is ok.

Checked wiring and it is also fine.

So I think it maybe the ABS control module?

The number on the ABS pump is 600 614 417D

Can I just swap the module off another pump with the same number?

Does it need re coding to the car?

Do these suffer with ABS module problems?

Let me know what you think as I need to get this sorted.

Thanks

im pretty sure they don't need coding ive got all the parts u need when u know whats needed pm me

Any other issues? Could be J500

Actually have you checked fuses above battery aren't blown?

Check the wheel bearing any movement in it can throw a fault on the abs

I found it was the fuse ontop of the battery.

Strip fuse, really difficult to see if it's blown at a glance, but closer inspection usually will reveal a hairline crack.

This is what I'd be checking first :)
