Moving / moved from Yeti to Octavia - who is doing this?

Featured Replies

I like the original front with the round lights and was originally looking for one of those. It made the car look different and gave it some character.

But the 0% made a new one an attractive proposition and now that I've got one I do like the new front even though as you say it is less distinctive.

I don't see the outside when I'm driving. The interior matters most to me. Miss the height of the yeti but love the space in the octavia

I agree with domhall.  Once I'm in the Octavia it's more comfortable than the Yeti.

I'm not great on looks - I prefer functionality, but I do like the Yeti - it does stand out.

We have just bought an ex demo 2.0 TDI Octavia, got a very good PX deal, will be a sad day when the Yeti goes, but needs must.

Went from Yeti (1.4 SE Plus) to Superb Estate (Elegance 170 DSG which was a cheaper aternative to an Octavia!).. miss the Yeti as it had so much character was so easy to get in and out of...... but the Superb is a better motorway cruiser, far more economical on the juice and the space inside is just so much more practical be it the 'luggage' or if you are sitting in the rear seats.... Will no doubt get hammered when I come to trade in 2 years time.

Would definitely look at another Yeti... it just needs a bit more space in the back.. but not some seven seat monster.. The problem I feel is that the luxury end of the Yeti aint that luxurious... ( I prefer the cloth seats to the leather ones as after a couple of thosuand miles the leather looks very tired and then chocolate brown leather and steering wheels... no... )

I don't think there's much comfort wise between the yeti and the octavia, the cabins are very similar

Don't be sad, the octavia is an excellent replacement.

Hi originally, Test drove Holden Captiva,VW Tiguan,Mazda, Ford, + etc.

Since 1971, have owned @ driven over 3/4 Million KM in my lifetime,

My Snowman showed the quality that I still enjoy, plus learn't a long time ago,

when a door glosses clunk, it is made solid.

Quality of fittings + when I picked up my Innovan Caravan it proved

that I had made the right choice.

The Yeti feels bigger than an Octavia to me - it's more upright, more square, and has a useful sized boot. Without a spare, it's more than adequate for a summer road trip with the family. When we need extra space for the winter holiday, we add the ski box.  This applied to the old car (a Subaru Outback), and it would also apply to an Octavia. Maybe next time, we'll go for an Octavia Scout, as I like the extra ride height and long travel suspension.
