Flappy Paddle shift For a superb

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and Gals

So my Question is relating to the Flappy paddle shift for the steering wheel on a new 2014 Superb.

I ordered the car without this option by accident (DSG Box of course) and want to know if anyone has had a Skoda dealer Retro fit them?

I quite fancy this option now as recently I drove a friend’s car and I liked it : :notme:

Any advice or first-hand experience to share please

Thanks

A lot of people on the Octavia forum have done this. IIRC the wheel is about £300, coding it is free if you can find someone with VCDS locally. Expect the dealer to deny it's possible first and then charge £1000 for the job and keep your car for a week...

Shark in Manchester

Done it on mine, 64 plate 170 dsg, very easy and simple swap, then just a tick in a box on vag com on steering wheel electronics. Just make sure its suitable as there are a lot of wheels that will fit in the skoda range but not all work.

Did you do yours yourself Simbo?

I'm still very tempted to do it at some point.

When you are in the mood the flappy paddles in sport mode are sublime. You won't regret it.

This might help tip the balance.....

My brand new (delivery mileage) DSG MFSW will also be appearing in the classifieds when the car arrives (12 weeks ish)

It hopefully won't be very long till I have some working flappy paddles in my Luxobarge. :D
