Good decision mate!

Featured Replies

Well.... Ever had that heart in your mouth feeling? I did earlier!

Parked in an underground car-park which (if you can picture it) has a main drive for incoming/outgoing cars, with branches off to the sides (quite small place in general) - Road surface is wet, concete surface is hazardous... and I AM PARKED at the end of this "drive" facing outwards.

parked next to me is a cavalier, nothing special but modified by its owner to a nice level. MUPPET in a red ford escort comes charging down this "drive" whilst I'm playing with vag com on my roof. Doing a good 30mph, brakes in last 30 yards, "SLIIIIIIIIIDE" (not a squeal as it was wet) then bloke lets off the brake which was probably the best choice, locks it up again and comes to a halt about 12" away from this cavalier's front bumper!

The reason for the "good decision mate" was during the very brief letting up of the brakes he elected to point his ford piece of crap (no offence Chris :D) toward the Cavvy and away from my car!

Still f***ing muppet! The weather has been atrocious down here, and my car was nearly staved in BIG TIME at the front by some McRae wannabe in a Escort! If he'd made good contact it would have been bye-bye to bumper, FMIC and much more.

Anyway - The car still lives.

Interesting turn of phrase... :rubchin: :D

See "one fault code gone" thread. :P Nothing saucy, unless this is some part of the software I've not yet come to find! :naughty:

Jason you seem to do a lot on your roof.

You know its the most sensible place to stick it, then you can push the door to 12" from shut, put your left arm across it and rest your chin on it while playing. :D Lazy I know but WTF.

Jason you seem to do a lot on your roof.

  - was missing the occasional thread like that :P ;):D

Glad the guy was able to stop in time though, would have been a royal PITB to redo all the work you've done

You might have had to get a proper vRS Jason

I think he ruled out an Octy because he wanted decent fuel economy ;)

And :finger: for the Ford comment Jason :P:rofl:

Chris

Good job he diddnt hit the front of your car. The minimalistic front crash bar doesnt look like it would stop very much.

anyway if J got a proper vRS he'd probably swap the engine for an S3 engine or someting :)

Nah, after seeing NealP's passat, I got the taste for a 3.2 biturbo!
