VCDS check TPMS is working

Featured Replies

Can I check TPMS function in VCDS. I thought it had all installed OK as the button responds as it should but just checked my tyre pressures and my rear left was 25psi, I normally run at 32 all around. Wondering if the red wire to abs controller is not connected  properly as it was hard to push in. Would it take more than the 1 mile drive from my house to the garage to activate?

How long since you fitted and activated it? And how far have you driven? The system has a learning period when reset before it works properly.

Also 1 mile may not be far enough depending on your speed and how straight, or otherwise, the road was.

Since first fit and reset around 120 miles, I never used the car yesterday though.I have slow puncture that deflates sometimes others not. I think it depends the position the wheel is when parked. I imagine it has lost pressure yesterday.it's a pretty straight drive to the garage but a residential area so speed would not have exceeded 20mph.

Probably too slow and too short a drive for it to pick it up.
