Loaded as in car all fine, tested around where I live and fine.

This done week prior to a 7 hour drive to Suffolk.

But then the fun of the journey...

Destination miss direction, and yes did check input.

Many periods of silence from Miss SatNav.

SatNav not pickin up traffic issues, thank gord for DAB traffic renews.

Suffolk so badly mapped I returned to paper atlas.

Anyone else with issues of latest update. As to be honest it's shocking.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I've not even updated mine yet, will be doing it tomorrow.  I guess since the maps have only been available for about 4 weeks now, many people haven't had a chance to really try out the new maps yet,  or possibly, it's just the Suffolk area that's been poorly mapped, but I doubt it.

I have the Columbus and dowloaded and updated the maps via the link in this forum.

During my mini euro trip a couple of weeks ago the satnav, directions and traffic worked flawlessly.

When I first picked up the car (2nd hand) I did a map update it appeared to be successful however the radio would mute but no directions were given.

I returned home and did the update again and not had an issue since.

I'd guess there was a problem with the download or install. I suggest you try it again from scratch.

I regularly travel to Suffolk to visit family. The sat nav sometimes throws a wobbly when I'm in the Orford/Woodbridge area, and if I believed it,  would get sent in all sorts of wrong directions. Looking at the sat nav the maps seem fairly accurate - I belive it is the routing algorithm thats having a fit.

 

I live in Kent and I sometimes encounter the same issue when I travel around the Penshurst area.  Again the map is accurate but the routing sometimes tries to end me down farm tracks for unknown reasons.

 

But this has never happened in other areas of the country. It is very odd.
