Dealer prices at launch

Featured Replies

Have an Octavia VRS TSi but am looking at Superb lll this time. Does anyone know if dealers get - and maybe give - discounts when a new model is launched? Just hoping, but am prepared to be disappointed.

Going through carwow, Allams (Epsom) are offering:

5.1% off (cash) = £1,875 off and

5.4% off  (finance) = £2,000 off .... not sure if this qualifies for the “0% APR PCP offer including 3 years free servicing is available on most Škoda models”

This was based on a 190 L&K 4x4 DSG with £1,530 worth of options.

Not sure what Coast2Coast are quoting for as they say the above car is RRP at  £31,420 whereas Carwow claim the RRP is £35,040

Thanks for the replies, but stupid me didn't make myself clear.

I was wondering if dealers get a discount or bonus when a new car is launched which might enable them to offer preferential prices. My dealer told me today that Skoda are keen to get as many on the road ASAP. Just wondered if that was a bit of a hint that there might be 'special' launch deals for cars supplied to the dealer for the actual launch date.

Skoda UK will get as many sold as Skoda CZ get to them, but there comes the hold up.

& you can be sure that Skoda UK what them to the 'Fleet Buyers' & on the Roads.  There will be none sitting filling compounds unsold.

If Skoda CZ do not want a Black Hole ordering system as usual they need to ramp up the Production Line and build cars and ship them.

Bargain prices these days is as much as to get Forums Buzzing on what Great Deals can be had.

Maybe, somewhere, if you are quick, then wait for cars.

Coast2Coast price you quoted is for the SE L. The L&K is listed as £35,040.00.

I just did one for ESTATE 2.0 TSI 280 Laurin + Klement 4X4 5dr DSG. £4,209.60 off from Coast2Coast but only £1,805 (cash) / £2,000 (finance) off from Carwow.

When I ordered my O3 on UK launch weekend, I got the dealer to price match carfile, so got £3k (12%) straight discount including options then as part of a finance offer SUK threw in a further £500 deposit contribution and 3 free services upto 30k miles so all in I reckon about £4k discount. At the time there were no 0% PCPs, it was 6.9% APR so I took the finance offer but settled the finance the day after collection using cheaper finance linked to my mortgage which was only 3% APR.

Just had a quote in from another dealer offering the car with a 13.9% discount (£5,136 off)

Hi Gizmo68,

Who was that with and was that cash or finance? Best offer I have now had from CarWow is Botley Skoda offering £3,208 off (cash) or £3,805 off (finance) for an L&K 280PS. Still not quite matching C2C with £4,209.60 off.

OK, that's weird. I just checked again after posting this and got a new quote - 13.8% saving from Crewe Skoda. £4962 off (cash) or £4156 off (finance). I'm saving up cash so a 5K discount sounds good to me! Bad news is dealer is 143 miles away.

That was for cash, the finance price is £32,693 = 11.5% off (£4,237) and is from Robert Eardley in Crewe

Cheers Gizmo68. Sorry ZEYEROVA your thread has been hijacked a bit becuase your original post is not really what's being discussed here!
