Amundsen (MIB2) - Sync contacts from Android Phone

Featured Replies

I have an Android phone (Nexus 5) on which I have contacts which sync into the device from my Hotmail account.

When the car tries to sync contacts from the phone only one contact managed to sync. Interestingly this contact was for some reason one that wasn't synced to my Hotmail. Any ideas how to get my contacts to Sync.

Also it seems you can't just manually enter/store in a bunch of contacts into the car :-(

Anyone else come across this problem and know how to resolve?

What version of OS are you running?

I have an Android Sony S2 operating lollipop, and do not have any issues with syncing my contacts list, neither does my wife, using Samsung S5

I'm on lollipop too. Are your contacts synced to gmail... Or..?

Solved!!

In Contacts App, select Contacts to display. This should show all the different accounts where contacts may be syncing in from e.g. Google, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Exchange etc.

The final option is Customise. Select this. This should open a new screen listing all the accounts with tick boxes. Make sure everything is Unticked except the main Hotmail account under Exchange.

Once set this way, attempting to Sync contacts in the car works just fine!

Note this is an Android problem not a Skoda problem so should solve problem for people with other cars.
