Vrs tdi clutch and flywheel upgrade?

Featured Replies

Recently had my vrs remaped to 175 bhp with 300 lbft torque and am now noticing clutch slip as the torque kicks in any ideas on what is the best uprated clutch and flywheel to fit and can't decide whether to go to single mass or stay dual thanks in advance

Stay with a dmf . the Sachs uprated clutch is good. They sell them at darkside , awesome gti etc.

I was thinking that ideally I know there are less probs with a si Glen mass but hearing stories of rattle on tick over and clutch judder pulling away but is this just because people are fitting a solid clutch designed for a dual mass instead of a damped clutch like the old style single mass ones?

standard clutch and flywheel will handle that power all day I was 225bhp for 2 yrs before changing to a helix due to upping the power to 280bhp

Cheers may still go for a slightly uprated clutch but gonna stick with dual mass even tho as a mechanic I hate them lol but I guess from what I've read it's Deffo a lot cheaper to replace a chattering dual mass than a shafted gearbox
