Service overdue

Featured Replies

If on fixed service, ever 15tkm, are you allowed to overdue service by any amount of days or kms or not?

Do you mean for the Manufacturers Warranty honouring a Claim ?

It says in the warranty it is a requirement to follow ' Service Schedule / Guidelines',

Your car can be on Variable Servicing,

so did you opt to put it on Fixed?

What Country are you in,

& is the Fixed Servicing you are on 10,000 miles / 372 Days, or something else?

Or is it 15,000 km by your choice.

I wouldn't whilst in warranty, since some "main stealers" will look for any reason to dishonour warranty claims.

Main Dealers or their Employees are not Paying for Warranty work though, or Underwriting the Warranty.

They work for you as the Customer & as your Agent between you and the Warranty Provider,

then they are paid under the Warranty Providers agreement to do work.

So remember,

read your Warranty Providers T&C's.  and the Exclusions and explanation on Service Schedules & Guidelines.

Then you know where you are when talking with Franchised Dealership Staff, Qualified and Trained or Not.

Check when and how you need to Service, Maintain & use Factory Approved Parts & Fluids.

Skoda / VW change to suit, Private Ownership & then what Fleet / Business users have as Service Intervals.

Vorsprung Durch Technik.  In God we trust, in Garage Employees we question if they are God, or just a Gods little worker.

Usually permitted 1000 miles or a month over the inspection mileage/date.
