Reciever drier AC skoda Octavia 05

Featured Replies

How do I remove the Reciever drier on a Skoda Octavia 05? it is in the same piece as the condensor on the right side with a plastic 14 socket on top.

What do I need to do to get it free?

Im assuming it's a mk2 ? If so... Should have 2 Allen key bolts at the bottom and hard to get to. Maybe 5mm or 4mm. Some original condenser's you cannot remove the dryer. A new genuine condenser will come with a new dryer which will be replaceable.

I had my condenser replaced recently, and I was told the receiver/dryer was integrated with it.

Yes its a Mk2, It looks like you cant remove the drier :S, but whats the 14 mm allen on top?

There is more than one kind of dryer/condenser. One integrated, one not.

Looks like mine are the integrated then. I buy a whole new condensor then, compressor and expansion valve then.. and flush the evaporator. :)

Condensor is out of the way now and thx for all help. But I ordered a new condensor and It had no foam rubber around the condensor. Is it neccessary to have it?
