Single tap doors unlock from keyfob

Featured Replies

On my 2010 FL VRS if you press the unlock on the keyfob it only opens the drivers door, you have to press it twice with a small delay to open all doors/boot. Trouble is because I always forget and then it 'does my head in'.

Can you amend the settings so it's a one touch all doors unlock?

Cheers,

Dan

Yes, via Maxidot if you have it. Otherwise using VCDS - a diagnostic tool which quite a few members own - or your Skoda dealer can programme it for you.

Or like I did at the weekend, with the Carista app and a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle :)

The first thing I changed on my car.  As it is a vRS with DSG the Maxidot was standard.

Settings -> Convenience -> Door Open -> Manual

What's weird is mine was doing this for the first few days of ownership. I didnt change anything (knowingly!), I dont have maxidot...It's not been doing it since. Odd.

I think it's done per key so if you switched keys in those first few days that might explain it.

That might be it!

Going to try it when I get home :)

I can confirm that it is done per key on the L&K - I have mine set to all doors and the wife's key is only driver door. Don't know if same on VRS

as its being previously mentioned, it doesn't matter which model - l&k, elegance or vrs - it is key dependent.

each key will have its on setting.

so u'll need to "set" for each key, separately.

Thanks very much for the replies, really helpful info. My manual VRS appears to have been spec'd with no options beyond standard so no maxidot which is annoying. Out works basic spec golf of a similair age (all same switchgear as my Octy) has this as standard :(

Silver1011 - I took the 'plunge' and bought an OBD2 dongle, it connects with the Carista app and reads / confirms no fault codes but on the free version when I try the customisations it says my OBD2 adapter is defective. Do you think this is just because it's the free version? I'd happily pay for the full one but only if I know it's going to work

Thanks again

Hmm, if I remember correctly when I tried to change certain options I was prompted to upgrade, I didn't get any 'defective' messages. After paying the £15.99 I was free to roam again!

Looking again at the thread linked in post #5 there have been some concerns / complaints about the App not working as expected, much like the symptoms you describe.

I'd not realised there were several pages to the thread you'd linked to, looks like I've got the same issue as last couple of people have. I've messaged the Carista people on Facebook, hope to get a reply as I really want to change the fob options (and now a couple of other things now I've seen the options). I'd be happy to pay for the options but only if I know it's going to work.

Cheers,

Dan
