Just wondering how long I should keep my octavia before replacing it?

 

I'm on my second octavia. The first a Y reg 2.0 litre petrol was ok until it got to 205k. My 09 2.0 pd TDI is at 120k. It's well maintained and does long trips out of town.

 

I'm just wondering, how long do the engines go on for?

what's a high mileage for these?

 

I'm trying to work out when is a good time to trade it for a 6 month old octavia...   the old balance.
