Skoda Octavia I Climatronic Codes/Values

Hi, although there are numerous references to the climatronic on the internet, I struggled to find the answer to my question: Has anyone an idea why the climatronic is displaying 75 degrees C as the interior temp (down vent, cold and Econ pressed simultaneously, Code number 1, which I believe is the interior temp).  My problem is that no matter how cold it is outside, the aircon always pumps out cold air.  It is capable of hot air, when it is set to HI.  The cold air fans also slow a little when I move the desired temp up to 29 degrees, but still cold air comes out.
