VRS P/X vs. private sale valuations

Featured Replies

Has anyone p/x'd or privately sold a VRS roughly similar to mine recently - what are valuations like at the moment?

2012 12 plate, aprox 47k miles, race blue/white wheels, bluetooth, parking sensors, rear electric windows, no engine swaps as not high oil user.

Just want to have a play with some figures to see if it's worth paying off the finance and selling, or ending PCP early and cutting losses etc. Autotrader suggests private examples around the £6.5k mark, with dealer cars between £7k and 9k depending on mileage.

I forgot WBAC.

£6100 - potentially a useful p/x bargaining figure.

Try Trusted Car Buyers - they offered me considerably more than WBAC - also seemed quite keen - phone calls and emails, then asked if their offer wasn't enough what was I looking for to sell.

I can't bring myself to part with the vRS though, so I still have it.

Just for comparison.

I popped into Skoda in January 2015 to look at what the costs would be to change to a new Octavia VRS.  They offered me £10000 px for a 2013/63 10k Fabia VRS.

Just popped in again to ask about a similar deal.

They offered £8225 px with 15K miles now so working on them figures the car is depreciating at £253 a month….

Just to add...

This is a interesting read for those on a PCP deal.

Offers to trade in will very much depend on how desperate they are to shift the car you would be taking from them.

Then January is a bit different from July,

not just Q1 & Q2 on their sales or Registrations for new cars,

but the 15 Plates came out inbetween Jan & July.

& a New Model Fabia was launched in that period.

Probably the best deal you could get on a Skoda vRS was against a Seat Leon Cupra that was not shifting,

now maybe even if buying or ordering a 2015 VW Polo GTI which are also about as popular as farts in spacesuits.

i was offered 6.5k for a 61 plate 34k miles with a few extras in feb against a golf

at the end of the deal i got, with my px and discount, over 10k off a new golf gt so make of my px value what you will

I'll buy it off you in 32 months time then OK?
