Yeti Outdoor Elegance 2.0L TDI CR (2014) - cuts out\stalls when slowing down

Featured Replies

We have bought the above car in May 15,  second hand (originally registered June 2014) and think it's great.

The car has been trouble free until a month ago where upon the car has intermittently started to cut out when slowing to at the approach to junctions, normally in the transition between 3 to 2 gear.

The car doesn't  "stall" as such as the car cuts out whilst the clutch is pressed down and the car is slowing down between 20-10mph (there isn't the normal stall judder or jolt). It is as if the car has switched itself off. This cut out occurs at random and I cant seem to educe it. The car was serviced by Skoda on Saturday and checked on the diagnostics but not fault has been registered. On leaving the garage the car cut out as described but then has run fine since.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? I note that the older 'Octavians' has similar problems but assume our Yeti has a newer engine.

Any advice would be appreciated - the car is due back at the dealers tomorrow.

thanks

Perhaps you have a fuel tank, cap, air starvation problem.
