Microfibre towels.

Featured Replies

All, I've been wondering if a microfibre towel that isn't specifically sold for detailing would be any good as a drying towel, as I had a suspicion that the may be found cheaper.

Has anyone tried and with any success??

A quick search on Google came up with this rather large towel at a price that looks good value:

They have other sizes too..

Your thoughts please!

As long as it remains soft with washing then I see no reason why not

i have a the same sort of thing in my sports kit bag.

It is likely to be thin which means its wont hold loads of water and you might find yourself wringing it out more.  Not a problem in ltself, but it is also likely to have very little pile, so nowhere for anything remaining on the surface of the car to go so you increase the risk of scratches when drying, though granted there isnt much likely to be left there after a wash.

There's a paragon one on ebay for not much more when you take into account delivery which has the thumbs up from a few on here, it will be one of the few threads I've started if you search on my content.  Other options if budget is limited are the mf drying towels at asda or the kent one at b&q.  Not quite as good but cheap and workable on a budget.

they do make awesome gym or camping towels though, so thanks for the link!

Thanks Chaps for the replies. I guess there are considerations to take into account as Chis has alluded to.

I'll take a look at your threads Laff82 and perhaps have a look/feel at those at Asda and B&Q next time I'm in my local store(s).

Oh, and I 'm glad I've supplied a link that's useful!! :)
