Bradford To Wales And Back

Featured Replies

Just come back from a few days away in North Wales and with it being Monte's first long journey and holiday I was not sure what to expect. It was bloody fantastic yeah yeah I had to change down gear more often but coped well with a fully loaded car on the motorway, 1 big bag and 2 smaller ones in book along with a few other bits and back seats had jackets on them. I set off with a full tank and needle moved on 100 miles, after 120 miles it was showing 77 mpg. At 300 miles the needle was half way. Cannot believe how comfy the car is, on twisty country roads it was fun. Only problem was we were staying in the middle of nowhere and the sat nav was leading us down very narrow roads. Which is the best route to take regarding colour?. I reckon the green one is for shortest journey. Overall cracking little motor.

Yes they are a fun car to drive, if a little out of breath on steeper inclines. I did find mine (5 door Elegance) very comfy on long journeys, more so than my current car which I swapped to purely on needing 3 rear seats nowadays (too many grandkids to taxi around at times) The sat nav was ok for me, just found it a little slow to react at times in city/town centres, sort of you are at the junction/turn before it decides to instruct you to turn, caught me out a few times but overall it was very good. Mine was the older Navigon though. Watch the fuel gauge though, it drops a little quicker when in the second half of the tank, mine never moved off the full mark until I'd done around 90 ish  miles.

Epic little car! Like above only moving on as I need the extra seats due to family related reasons.

Without a doubt best little car I've ever owned, only bettered on fuel by my mk1 fabia vRS. Miles more fun to drive than some of my more powerful cars I've owned.

In all honesty I've enjoyed tracking this much more than any other car, despite having only 60bhp.

I will be very sad to see little Buck go in October!!

In all honestly if you plan ahead and change gear to can keep pace with most other cars.
