Recoding spare key

Featured Replies

I have just noticed my spare key in my MkII 2011 superb will not work.  It opens the doors,  starts the car for 2 secs then cuts out.  With Key not found message.  I read in the forum  here that it means my key needs to be coded.  I have read some posts talking about being able to do this yourself ( Which I would find unlikely given how skoda like to bend you over for stuff like this )   where you just need the working key to open the car and then put spare in the ignition blah blah ... didnt work.

Any way to get this done without going down the "main dealer" route?
