Hmm removing the LEDs from old boards etc usually kills them tbh

Fair enough, I'm a pure amateur so have no clue.

I'll walk into maplins with the light and say 10 of them please :)

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to be able to see all the specs of broken glass in my car one day... If I wire it up correctly that is.

  • This was Gee's old car so you have Charlie lol. Sorry for poor pictures

  • Well when you drive around in with this, whats a little bit more blue lol

The buttons will most likely be surface mount diodes, if so they will be plcc2- 3528 size.

The ambient lights should be 3mm LEDs

Expensive - http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=281516570508&globalID=EBAY-GB

Any reason why the price difference is so big, I like the darker colour green but it's a lot more money!

Cool, thanks.

Didn't see your reply or I would have got these earlier.

I was working on a Skoda superb today, they also have the red mood lights, so vw, audi and Skoda all use red.

Will change mine when I get a chance.

  • 1 year later...

I know this is a massive bump... but the current Mk.3 Fabias still have the same dome lights as the Mk.1 (just 15 years separating them!) and I'd like a W8 style light unit. I don't want to faff around with changing LEDs too much- do the lighting units from the Superb Mk.1 have green backlights in the buttons? If so, what is the part number for them? I think changing the red ambient lights for white ones would be easy enough, as they're not hidden behind the switches.
