My VRS from Portugal wants to say "Hello"

Hi guys,

Been folowing this forum for some time now and finaly signed up.

My real name is Rui and I live near Sintra, Portugal.

I own a Red Skoda Fabia 1.9Tdi VRS, plate from 2006 but bought in 2009 with only 24.000 Kms.

Recently started modding it with the usual:

Repro to 165 bhp

EGR Off (and deleted)

Cat Off

Modded the turbo filler, to spool faster (Don't know the name for that mod yet... but I've seen it here in the forum something similar, maybe the same )

Min. front lights changed to Soft Blue Leds.

Interior Lights changed to Bright Leds.

Eibach Pro-Kit Springs

Eibach Pro spacers (10mm Front / 20mm Back)

Plastic Dip to Black on the Original Wheels.

And let's see what else comes...

My baby is now with 154.234 Kms and still awesome!

Just to add some new stuff...

Eibach Pro spacers: 20mm Back -- Fitted (Damnnn your ass looks so sexy now... )

New Turbo fitted: Garret 1752-MFS (ex-VA) :blink:

New Repro: 182Bhp and 420Nm !!! :cool: (Low Smoke, that's the I like it! )

New tires: Nexxen N Fera Su1 (Great Grip, Really impressed...)

232.000 Kms and it keeps goin'.... Damn! :blink:

Generally, i dont like to be one of those people to open up another topic that has been exhausted time and time again, but after extensive research, i really am struggling to find a forum response that matches fully with my issue. I owned a 2017 Superb Mk III and recently swapped to a Mk IV and love the car apart from one very dangerous fault. Occasionally, the car decides I’m about to hit something and slams on the brakes - so hard, that you think you have hit something! It has happened several times whilst manoeuvering at low speed in reverse which is somewhat disquieting. But it has also recently done it whilst driving forwards - in no way on any occasion was there a risk of collision with either stationary or mobile

My 2012 Citigo ASG vehicle has developed a new fault. After a few hundred metres driving the engine suddenly revs high (then drops) and does not change gear. The amber (not red) cog warning light is displayed in the rev counter area. I read that this could be one of several issues that a OBD2 diagnostic check will reveal. My local independent garage that I use has said it would be safe to drive it to them to run the checks but they are eight miles away and I'm reluctant to do so. I could conta
