brake drums ruined by pressure washer?

Featured Replies

Just taken my new (used) citigo for its first clean after 500 miles and the hand car wash guys used a pressure washer.

The rear brakes are now squealing heavily, is this normal, and if not how much to put right?

That's normal on these and UP and Mii too. It'll go away when they dry out. Happened to me when I pressure washed mine.

Even happens in heavy rain / puddles sometimes.

Just wet steel on pad rubbing. Get em hot and theyll dry out quivk.

Thanks all, I'm comforted now and glad it's nothing else I have to take to get repaired under warranty.

take it to skoda and you will get the normal "it's a feature of the car" or "they all do it" etc

but in this case they are actually correct :) :)
