yeah can get them pretty much anywhere, as well as the main networks supermarkets have their own "virtual" mobile networks which they sell. Do some research before you arrive as to which network offers you the best package on PAYG

Thanks for that, it'll be minimum calls but 'tethering' my TomTom also for traffic.

We'll be wanting a SIM card when we arrive which we need for 3 weeks which I assume we can get at a supermarket.

 

Just to give you some idea of what's available this is Tesco's offering for one month, the Sim is free

It may be worth also looking at 3.co.uk, no extra charges to call back to Australia or most of the world now.

Can you download  maps  to a USB stick  and have  them display  on the sceen? ???
