Had a quick walk round the car as you do and found someone had misjudged there parking effort...

Fortunately I found a neighbours car (on p plates) that looked like this...

What did they say? Bad luck must have been gutted!

I hope you enlightened them in the error of their ways...

She denied it but when her husband came home he pretty much turned round and said ok. It was pretty clean cut as the transfer was still on her car. Went down to my local body shop and they quoted 150 to sort it so not all that bad, will take the quote round tomorrow...

Hope it looks ok afterwards though, you can't see it on the pic but some of the plastic is rubbed down :(

Glad you found the culprit. My sister recently returned to her rapid in a car park to find it had been bumped and not long after getting the vRS I experienced the same in the car park at work! Never did find out who was responsible. So annoying. Why can't people be more careful?!

Not an Octy but on a previous car, 1 week old, parked in a car park, came back an hour later to find the whole side (front door to rear bumper) scraped and severely dented.

 

Contacted police ahead of informing insurance, had to give a statement that I hadn't given anyone permission to damage my car.  Why exactly would I involve them if I'd given someone permission!  bonkers.

Accidents do happen, but always best to just own up!
