Is it worth buying the live traffic and safety camera services?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have had my citigo for about 4 months now, and i still love getting in every time, and plugging in the sort-of-rubbish sat nav. Anyway, i was wondering if anyone has purchased the live traffic and camera services, and if so do they think it is worth it?

Cheers

I haven't gone as far as making an account yet for the PID in MrsVivs Citigo, but I have had the Navigon app on an iPhone for years in my car. I like the camera alerts as a reminder and the traffic updates have rerouted me to avoid hours on motorways following a shunt, if the timing is right. I'm hoping that it'll work similarly on the PID and I'll be getting it sorted very soon.

I wouldn't say the Sat Nav was rubbish. It was better than the one that's in my Crapid now (Amundsen).

You have to pay separately for the live services on the PID, but yesterday i found a "hidden" setting (have to click like 10 buttons before you find it) which allows you to turn on camera alerts! But now i am not sure whether live traffic updates is worth purchasing, and how regularly it is updated.

Please tell us how to turn on the camera alerts? I've had mine for over 3 years and i've never found the option :)

if memory is correct it is the POI notifier you need turned on

there are also warning if you go over the speed limit by 5 or 10mph

the live traffic is good but make sure your phone supports PAN on bluetooth and you have sufficient data on your mobile contract
