mk1 but 55 plate VRS

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone shed any light I have seen the mk1 shape upto a 56 plate but have seen a mk2 on a 54plate when i try to buy bits sometime the options only go to a 2004 model any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks Rick

After they brought in the Mk2 they kept selling the Mk1 as the Octavia Tour for several more years.

Mainly coal burners then mine must be ultra rare being 1.8t lpg then :)

Mk1 vrs can be had upto 06 plates. Rare though. Must of had a few unregistered ones lying about

Newest mk1 taxi spec ive seen was a 2010 plate...

the idea was that to buy one you had to have a taxi license iirc, "special" edition 100bhp tdi lump. Mostly to use use all production run body panels and keep factories ticking over, but just kept going as they kept being bought instead of mk2 by taxi companies

Thanks for the info so buying bits if i go to the 2004 they will fit as a rule of thumb

Mine is the same = Nov 2005 on a 55 plate vrs - Insurance and car parts go to 2004 - It's a 2004 model so parts fit, insurance can be a pain as you cannot select 2005 and then put in the mk1.

I had an 06 mk1 vrs :) ex police

Nope, though it wasn't a patrol car as there were no holes anywhere except for next to stereo, it's no longer about though as was unfortunately worth more in bits

Told the salesman i want red or i want none :)

Good man, someones loss lol

Seen a few 58 plate mk1 private hires around here.

Mine's a 55 plate Mk1 vRS, had a slight hiccup with insurance first time around but a quick phonec all to the insurance company resolved it.
