Hey guys,

 

I keep getting this error code on my MK1 Octavia VRS 1.8.

 

Usually happens shortly after filling up. At first I put it down to how I was driving the car as I wasn't giving it quite enough power to pull away after getting used to driving a different car.

 

Seems to have started making an unusual blow off sound when I put the clutch in coming from the passengers side of the car.

 

Any ideas what it could be?

Vacuum/ boost pipes splitting is extremely common on VAG 1.8T's. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16555/P0171/000369

 

I figured as much as I can hear air coming from the left side when I change gear, which I can't normally hear. Have taken a look but can't see anything obvious on the surface. I know a guy with a smoke kit so may have to get it tested.
