Uprated clutch for Felicia diesel?

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

I need to replace the clutch in my Skoda pickup, its got a turbo diesel engine from a VW polo (AHU) and converted to MTDI, so it probably running around 100bhp. This is enough to make the old clutch slip, even when when your not giving it the full beans!
Now it may just be the standard clutch was already on its way out, but I suspect that even a brand new standard clutch wouldnt last very long with the torque from the turbo lump. Does anyone know of an alternative or modified clutch that will fit?

Cheers, Rich.

Try and contact a member on here called rolo, he's not been around for a long time but he was well clued up on tge mtdi setups, i think he got an uprated clutch from cg motorsport.

Thanks Tom, I've also seen Black Diamond etc. selling stage 1 & 2 clutches, but they're really expensive, I was hoping for a TeflonTom Motorsport scrapyard solution, bit like the big brake conversion :D

By the way Tom, you've been very quiet recently regards your latest felly...

Yes, there have been a few events happen in my personal life which hav3 taken priority over playing with rustg old sheds. Not been on here so much.

Oh dear, I hope its nothing too serious.

I do seem to recall one of your posts which suggested audi transaxles might be involved in the latest rusty shed

I would give cg clutches a try they sorted me out quickly and cheaply.
