14 cars were tested by German Taxi drivers in Berlin in July, in two categories. Sedan/Estate and Compact/Van.

Four sub-categories are awarded a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Economy, Function, Comfort, Emotion.

This is the result of the Sedan/Estate category.

Economical: 1st Toyota Auris, 2nd Skoda Octavia estate, 3rd Lexus GS 300 hybrid

Functionality: 1st Skoda Superb hatchback, 2nd Skoda Octavia estate, 3rd Ford Mondeo Tournier

Comfort: 1st Skoda Superb hatchback, 2nd Mitsubishi Outlander hybrid, 3rd Ford Mondeo Tournier

Emotive: 1st Lexus GS 300 hybrid, 2nd Skoda Superb hatchback, 3rd Mitsubishi Outlander

Don't try to guess which trim level it is. It's specifically developed as a Taxi by Intax and the pale yellow paint job is to a German Taxi what black is to a London Cab.

Diesel / oil leak in engine bay - safe to drive ?

Hi. I have a leak of diesel or oil from my Octavia 1.6 diesel engine and I am taking it to get steam cleaned etc today before driving down to a garage for them to check the leak . Is it ok for me to continue to drive my car around ? I have been for quite a while with this burning smell, the garage has said it should be fine but I just wanted some other advice. No warning lights come on and the car runs ok . Thank you.

I'm thinking of buying a 2021 vrs iv with 30k on the clock. Paranoia reigns, should l do it? What should l look out for on a test drive? I do about 8k a year. Short journeys with the odd long distance trio about 10 times a year. I'm reading lot's of stuff about infotainment glitches etc, which is scaring me. My current car is ageing 14 plate petrol vRS. Hi guys, Just looking for a few opinions here. Bought my wife a 2012 Mk2 Fabia (1.2 Greenline TDI) a couple of weeks ago from a reputable small garage. MIL appeared after about 8-9 days. Comes on for hours then off again. Rinse and repeat. Hi so recently purchased a 2016 superb 2.0 tdi 190. Absolutely love it but I’ve got an annoying issue with my speakers. So when purchased, 3 of the 4 main door speakers didn’t work which I replaced (brought speakers from local breakers). All worked fine for a few weeks untill the 2 rear ones stopped working. Hello! I am looking for a direct SD card patch (FEC ALL / CID OFF) to unlock Smartlink and Carplay on my Skoda Bolero unit.
