leaking doors....yawn!

Featured Replies

Having just bought a 2006 fabia estate, judging by the foisty smell i think the age old leaking door carrier has reared its ugly head.....

question....could i drill more drain holes?...would this help,....water draining out quicker!

failing this, what type of sealent should i use to sort problem when resealing the door carrier.

cheers   folks

Plumbers gold often gets banded about as a good sealer to use. Personally I always use the proper sealer kit from Skoda, but then i'm normally doing it for other people so I like to know the job is done as per technical bulletin.

Drilling holes will help (debatable if its a good idea) but the carrier needs to be sealed anyhow.

There are enough holes already. Drilling new ones is not necessary and is likely to cause rust if not treated properly.

Yep, just needs sealing properly.
