I've had the car going on 10 months now and I'd thought I'd start a thread just to keep track of things I've done, fixed and ruined [emoji6]

Also to get other people's opinions good or bad .

The car had 76k when I got her in October 14

With the horrible pin stripe that was the 1st thing to go.

So the list of things I've done after buying the car within a week both front wheel bearing were knackered after not hearing a thing on the test but a week after having the car it was almost unbearable .

After buying the car in the winter after a bit of raining the front drivers carpet was wet through after many many weeks of pondering I finally noticed two things the rubbers on the back doors was wet and the drivers seat runners had gone a little rusty so sealed up the back doors and no more wet carpets [emoji4]

After this I got on to skoda and had the tailgate and other rusty spots repaired under paint warranty after a week I got her back

Then started a bit of messing so LEDs all the way round

The figs were a bit awkward with the bulbs being to long for the shield so I just cut it out from it being a semicircle to a full circle (bad english)

I also decided to paint the front grille surround white

Then came my pastyboy badges

I was fed up this using CDs although I thought the oem HU wasn't to bad I want something with USB but wanted a oem look so I bought this with the surround think the colour match is quite good myself next was leds on the interior

The girlfriend bought me some colour coded mats for Christmas [emoji4]

Looks good

I really like the pressed plate look I managed to find some road legal ones on eBay

I stuck them on with pad as I HATE screws [emoji35]

There are still a few niggles one being the amount of stone chips on the bonnet and windscreen car was originally front Scotland so no doubt lived on a rally stage these need sorting as it bothers me a great deal and the lacquer peel on the spoiler

The next problem was the top mount was squeaking upon further inspection it was a spring that had snapped and torn the top mount a good look round the car and I had two snapped springs at so naturally I decided to lower it after ringing bbc and found it was £50 a spring anyway

After this I added a tongue [emoji12]

And the a lcr splitter

And that is where we are up to today :-) add and thoughts opinions good or bad

Oh and she's booked in for the back box delete tomorrow will post my new tail pipe [emoji12]

Nice updates. Have to say the stone chips are one of the biggest hates on my car. Totally covered in them.

I'm hoping to fill em in http://www.chipex.co.uk and the get the m/c polisher out but it's the windscreen on a sunny day it looks like it's been peppered I don't know if there's anything I can do about it

I wasn't sure about all the hype about the back box delete but I'm quite impress other than the better noise it makes I'm sure the turbo spools up faster the delay when you put your foot down in low revs doesn't seem as long
