Hey guys, just wandering if anyone can give some advice on a few problems I may have, first up, my power steering sometimes doesn't work when I start the car, but always goes perfect again after a little 'wiggle', and second, when I'm a little heavy footed, I can see clouds of smoke behind me, worse at night but that's just because I can see it more. Am I heading towards some chunky repair costs? Or do I just need a new battery and to realise I'm a diesel now? Cheers

The steering could be battery related or a sensor on the rack. As for the smoke, what colour is it and how bad are we talking.

White, and when I've put my foot down, pretty bad, I can see it a couple cars behind, just a haze
