First problem, albeit minor

Featured Replies

Nothing major, but a day under 3 weeks ownership and the RH thumb-wheel seems to be playing up.

Probably just a coincidence but when arriving at work this morning, I tried the folding mirrors function (as per other thread on the subject) which worked fine, when holding lock on the key. And when starting the engine, when leaving tonight, they unfolded. So that was good.

But when driving home I rotated the RH thumb-wheel a bit to check the average fuel consumption, as I've done many times, and nothing. Tried pressing it and alternating between 1 and 2 but no joy.

Now and then, when giving it a good rotate, it would move to another read-out but then would be difficult to move again.

Got to be a coincidence but just seems strange it's started happening after trying the mirrors. Tried stopping and restarting it but no different.

Even when going into the menu it was reluctant to move between MCD and Settings etc.

So seems like the thumb-wheel. Anyone else had this problem?

Have you given the thumb wheel a good 'work-out'?..........just a thought.

Sounds like a trip back to the dealers. Didn't they do a hand over demonstration? Perhaps they thought you wouldn't notice it? Neither my Roomster nor both of my Yetis had any problem like this.

Yes! Given it a good rotate, backwards and forwards and pressed it in numerous times. Works sometimes, but erratically. Sometimes it will do nothing but then jump to another read-out, missing out the one I want.

They did a proper handover. As I said, it was fine for nearly 3 weeks and only started playing up when I left work on Thursday evening.

Tried it again this morning, including a Factory reset when I could eventually get into the menu (!) but no better.

As you say, a trip back to the dealer, which is a bit annoying so soon into ownership.
