What was your opinion of the Moon White?

Could you easily see the metallic and was there any change of colour when the light caught it?

I have a candy white mk3 vrs Octavia, and along side that the moon white is a lot crisper. To be quite honest it's being drove by the managers who obviously aren't bothered too much about keeping them clean, both externally and internally. Both cars had a film of dust. So NO the metallic effect was not visible in the variable sunlight conditions.

Hope this makes sense. For me these cars should be in the show room, so all can view them, and not when the mangers are at work.

Thanks, yes it makes perfect sense, I saw a pair of Yeti’s in Moon White and you had to really look hard to notice the metallic, pity as if the metallic had ‘popped’ then it would be my No.1 choice, but as it is I’m back to Business Grey  :D

I parked my Candy White MkII beside the Moon White one and the moon white does look a lot 'crisper' but after some thought I still prefer Candy White.

I gave Lambs the spec for the MKIII that I want along with full details of the MKII trade in (after it took the receptionist 10 minutes and two excursions to where the 'sales' people were hiding. I was promised a phone call that afternoon with cost to change.

Two days later I called them to find out what was happening and the guy gave me an absolutely atrocious deal offer. When I said it was a completely unattractive offer he said he'd speak to his boss and get him to 'sharpen his pencil'.

That will be two weeks ago on Wednesday!

It appears that they just don't give a monkeys.......heaven knows how much these people add to the price of the cars for what appears to be no benefit from them to the customer whatsoever?

Unfortunately a problem that seems to be escalating.

All smiles and bon homme when you walk in, but seemingly ignored thereafter.

Phoned a large local Škoda dealership today to book car in for MOT. "Just putting you through" followed by recording how important my custom is and calls may be recorded for training purposes (what friggin' training do you need to answer a 'phone?), then answered and immediately hung up.

The classic lift-and-drop just to stop it ringing. Immediately called back and told them what I thought of their "how important my custom" was!

After previous ignored emails and failed "we'll call you back" I've taken my "important custom" elsewhere.

Yes, so have I - my Superb and my wife's Citigo will no longer be visiting like Lamb's to the slaughter- apart from everything else the put far more resource into trying to sell you ancillary and completely unnecessary work when they can't provide the basic maintenance service in the first place (couldn't book my car in for a service and MOT on the same day with 3 weeks notice so had to have the MOT first and the service 3 weeks later (I was going away) and subjected to numerous calls each time trying to sell brake fluid change, Aircon service, brake pipe treatment and something else - even on the MOT day when they said they didn't have the resources to also carry out a service!

..then the usual irritating calls after each event asking 'how was it for you' stuff from their script.

But I'm guilty of hijacking the thread - apologies for that!

In fact, when I get the new car I'm taking it to an excellent local independent from the start, just trying to ensure that they use 'genuine' Skoda parts'.

Does anybody else think it looks a bit high in the back end in this photo? Nose down, tail up sort of thing.

No wonder Skoda have come 7th in Auto Express survey....They used to be up in 1st and 2nd spot along with Lexus but this year, from 3rd to 7th!!

The sad fact is the Hatchback looks SO MUCH nicer, and more expensive than the Estate, which is what I have at present, and intend to get on repurchase, but doubts are creeping in. One drawback to switching to  the Hatch is no roof rails, and presumably their not even being  a possibility and which on the current Estate have been almost essential , with the cross rails added.  But as I don't intend to change until  the new model  has had 12 months to sort out any problems, plus my current one , just 2 months  short of 5 years old and has not yet done 15000 miles, I really ain't in a hurry. One thing I have noticed  is in the past 3 months or so, the  ave mpg had gone up  quite noticeably, or that's what the " electronics " tell me, but how accurate they are is open to doubts.  Whenever I turn the ignition on, or off, the  clicking and whirring that goes on behind the dash is amazing, for a full 4-5 mins. Gawd knows what's going on or being set up, probably better one doesn't know.  The electronics are a law unto themselves, for several months  they  would tell me I was in a 30 mph zone, despite the fact I was on a motorway, but they seemed to have gone off that idea lately, so no doubt they will think of something else soon.  One annoying  aspect is the knurled   button on r/h side of the steering wheel, which is so close to where  my thumb is, it is constantly  being " interfered " with, while I am driving!.   ( no comments please )

Hey Tony. Just to prove its horses for courses I feel the exact opposite to you ! I think the estate looks much better :-)

As for your dash.... It's probably all the air conditioning vents repositioning. My Scout does it but only for a few seconds. If yours goes on for 5 minutes I would get it into the dealer if I were you ...

Called in today and test drove the white estate really nice but just like my mk2 superb. Probably consider one in the future
