No sound after update firmware 5274 Columbus

Featured Replies

Hi,

Yesterday I updated my Columbus (Superb Combi MY12 with SoundSystem) with the new firmware 5274, today I noticed I lost the sound of the speakers.

Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

You've probably removed the sound system coding from the unit when you updated it. You'll need VCDS or dealer tool to reapply the correct system settings.

Hi Rustynuts,

I checked it with my VCDS and recode it to the SoundSystem

But it didn't seem to help

Did you reset the unit after changing the coding? Press and hold (all at the same time) the left arrow - right arrow - and microphone button til the unit turns off.

Did you possibly do a system scan with vcds at any point before you updated the Columbus? If so the original coding will be in the log you saved. If the reset doesn't work then pull that log, get the long coding and reapply it to the unit. That should put it back to how it was before the update. Again do a reset.

Hi Rustynuts,

Thanks, I had an old scan before this update, recode it, did a reset and it worked!

Sorted. :nerd:
