New member in a 1.8 turbo 4x4 Aberdeen

Good day all

A strange one this as I am more into my Lotus but I have always like the original Octavia but never really thought I would buy one.  A little bit of forced measure by an idiot driving head on into us doing a suicidal overtake has meant my daily driver did its duty in saving our lives.

I looked at several different makes and models of car in Scotland - all rotten.

Got on the phone to the old man who spotted the Skoda locally to him, he made the deal on my behalf and I bought the car based on my dads experience.

I took a flight down to Sussex and was greeted by the sales guys at the airport whom I had spoken to over the phone - I had picked up an absolute belter.  1 owner + ex demonstrator 2002 1.8 turbo 4x4 Elegance.  71,000 miles, clean rust free and honest.  Interior is immaculate.

601 miles drive back to Aberdeen and I couldn't be happier.  A mixture of average speed cameras doing 50 and 70 mph stints averaged around 45mpg.  Slightly more spirited drive after refuelling and the mpg dropped below 38mpg.

It's got a monster sized boot, economical, 4 wheel drive for Scottish summers and pulls very strongly for only 150bhp.  Ultra comfortable for long journeys, just what the doctor ordered.

1 x prep wash

1 x polish with G3

1 x polish with a purity light abrasive polish

1 x coat of 75% Carnauba wax

1 x day down

= A VERY SHINY SKODA

It is stock for now but I have never left a car standard in my whole life so will be upgrading soon.

Cheers

Kieran
