66kW Fabia (diesel)

Featured Replies

Currently got a 5 door as a courtsey car, states 66kW on the sticker under the boot floor.

Only 3600 odd miles on the clock.

A proper "flying" machine, with one-up.

Funny how, even  after 5 years dedicated to driving a DSG, the clutch use comes as second nature, the nice gruff diesel engine revs sub-consciously (and impeccably) indicate to clutch and change.

A wonderfully slick intuitive 5 speed box too.

just like riding a bicycle I suppose.

Stop/Start also appears to work as intended.

all quite straightforward

PS

Perhaps the diesel stop/start is better simply because it is more noise obvious?

cheers

If this is the wee 3 pot 1400cc diesel, I could not fault it, OK a bit gruff at revs, but nicely so (at least for scooting about)

Makes me wish they had cars like that when I were 18 or 20 years old.

And still seeing 55mpg overall.(compared to the 30mpg I used to get from a 1100cc petrol Polo of 1982 vintage )

Ye Ha!
