Has anyone tried out the open beta of World of Warships?

^^^ That guy obviously spends his life gaming. Mucho info about world of tanks, war thunder, armoured warfare and some panicky wandering around in one of the "Alien" type games.

Didn't think the WoWS was open beta yet.

 

Might take a look, I play War Thunder but naval is a long way away with that. They've only just got half the tanks out (Brit Tanks in the next big patch)

I'm currently playing Warship WWII on my mobile/tablet - Pretty good for an App!

I am playing the BETA.

 

Quite enjoying it.  Far more than tanks, which I gave up on pretty pronto.

I am playing this and tanks. Play tanks more but this is good for a break

Actually managed to stop! And go for a bike ride around 21:30. Very relaxing riding the roads and parks at that time. No fee-jits in cars or brain dead sun seekers wandering into your path.

 

Think it might be related to getting to ships in tier 6. For the first time my money is running out on upgrades at a HUGE! rate. Hence, the glamour is fading slightly..... but not for the Nicolas or the Mini!

Downloaded it last night but not tried yet.

 

It's F2P so I guess it'll get hard to progress after a while unless you cough for premium.

Ah, yes, they released 0.41 or summat today, another 1.5GB of stuff - good stuff though!

Played for about 10min last night, just a couple of games.

 

Got a kill in each with the stock boats. Interesting but not sure if I'm hooked.

 

Very arcade but I suppose a simulated naval battle lasting 3 days might be a bit trying for a casual gamer.

hmm downloading - think I'l leave the PC to it for a while :-)

I played a few games for a week. Found it far to arcade like, more like something I'd played on a tablet previously. Got bored very quickly and have uninstalled.

 

WAr Thunder is getting a bit weak now as well, the devlopers seem to be chaning everything to force the players to play the highest teir or be clubbed.

 

Armoured Warfare might be worth a look.

I'm currently "over it" after they have introduced "quick messaging or chat" options that loudly proclaim drivel over the speakers. I won't be back until I can mute it.

Hmmm, found a less than edifying situation....

 

If you are running a T8 or above ship and it gets sunk (usually there's a fair chance of this)..... Unless you have a World or Warships premium account, then you are likely to be losing many credits per battle.

 

I rage sold the North Carolina earlier today..... Now considering a logical sell of the Mogami after losing 100K in one game.... I even thought I'd done well!!!

 

My opinion is there's far more fun to be had playing around T5, T6 ships.

All F2P games work much the same model.

 

If you want to run at the higher tiers you need to be a subscriber.

 

I still play WarThunder mainly in tanks now. I'm just reaching T4 but even there it's hard to finish a match with a profit sometimes.

 

Plus often the lower tiers can be more fun because the vehicles are better matched and the one shot kills are rarer.

Its the same model as world of tanks.

You either have to play mid-tiers for funds, or play really good at the higher tiers if your on a standard account.
