Will this work on the Vrs?

How will I know if it's correct? This is the first clutch I've done

You just need to make sure the clutch is 100% central.

If your new to clutches £8 for a tool is worth every penny when your on your back fighting a heavy gearbox with an out of line clutch.

I'm going to buy it I just wanted to know if it fits although it does say universal

So the hole in the clutch plate that takes the shaft of the gearbox has to be dead inline with the cover plate? I think that makes sense lol

just fitted mine with no tool

I know it's possible to do without the tool I'm just asking if the tool I've showed works on the Vrs. This is the first clutch I've had out.. I'm not a mechanic.

Yeah Paul needs to be dead central,or the box won't slide into place.

As above if you use a deep socket or on some clutches the handle of a screwdriver you just ensure the gap is equal all around whilst tightening up the cover bolts.

Very important to tighten the cover bolts equally and a small amount each time working your way around the bolts,or you will get clutch judder.

But your engine was out?

Way easier to line up than with engine in car.

Thanks Kev! Didn't even know that, gald you said that lol

Same tool I used, works a treat :) use it to line the clutch and pressure plate up and hold them together before fitting, that way you can just hold them by the tool (one handed)! Tighten the bolts then just remove the tool. I did mine with the engine out but would make a massive difference if the engine was in
